My name is Foxy and I'm 19 years old. I think I would be an asset to the Love and Learn Panel because I would present the readers with a younger view point. It seems that the other panelists are already "adults" whereas I am still a teenager. In my opinion, the younger readers would be able to relate to my experiences and they would benefit from the advice of someone who can also relate better to their situations. While my love life has not been a rollercoaster ride and by no means have I experienced all that there is to experience, I do believe that I have a firm handle on what most teens are going through and how they are feeling. As I have gone through my own relationships I have slowly begun to understand the choices that I have seen other people make which, before, I may have disapproved of and looked down upon. I have a very open mind about relationships which brings me to my philosophy on them. I believe that a relationship is whatever the two people involved in it define it to be. I don't think that there should be any guidelines or parameters, as to what defines a relationship. I do believe that a relationship should be based on honesty, trust, and mutual respect. As long as those characteristics are involved almost any relationship has potential to be a really great thing. I think people, especially the younger readers would find my advice very useful as I have had many different experiences in relationships and if I haven't gone through it, one of my 6 best girlfriends most definitely has and I have been there every step of the way. I have been through or seen it all; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Most often, I am also considered the mom of our group of friends. I am the one that everyone comes to, to talk about what's going on and what I think they should do about it. In a way it is the prefect training for the position as a panelist for Love & Learn. |
