If we don't have sex, is underage dating OK?

...there is a huge age gap between 15 and 19.

A Reader responds:

I agree because I went out with someone five years older than me when I was 15 and it just does not work out.

Affects Your Other Relationships and Yourself

It's great to have older friends, but an older man affects everything -- from your relationship with other people you love like your parents and your friends your own age, to your own expectations of yourself.

You may feel like you're in love, and if you are, the separation won't harm you, it will only strengthen your love and committment for each other. If you can't break up with him, you're probably more scared of being alone than you are of actually losing him.

That's insecurity in yourself and definitely means you need to mature before you get into a relationship. I promise there's always someone out there that is perfect for you and at the same level as you.
